It all started when Vic beat his brother Alejandro Montiel and thus lead to Vic's trash talking of Montiel.

Vic said "If Fernando had any pride he would man of up and avenge his brothers loss". He also said something along the lines of "Fernando shouldn't even look his brother and the rest of his family members in the face, knowing that he isn't man enough to face him for the sake of his families name/honor".

I have to look for a few of them but there are a bunch. It's actually pretty funny (Vic's attacks on Montiel) which is why I'm surprised they haven't fought yet.

This beef has been brewing ever since both were at 112.

That sounds like a reason to fight.

Had Donaire dominated for 4-5 rounds and then koed him then I would agree that there is no need for a rematch. It was just two rounds people it could have happened to the best ho them even Donaire. Donaire has been beat by a Mexican bum already and he struggled with lesser fighters than Montiel, I'm almost certain that Montiel with the right game-plan beats Donaire this time around. Let them fight at 122

I wouldve liked to see how the fight would have gone had it progressed into the later rounds. not to excuse Montiel or anything of the sort, but I think he just ind of got caught with a huge shot really early.

I think Montiel could really test Donaire if he gets past those early death rounds.

I would like to see a rematch. its not like Donaire is fighting anyone in the meantime.

Donaire is another level. Montiel is a great fighter very skilled with good power but Donaire is imo #1 p4p right now. He has the best all around package of anyone at any weight right now. It doesn't mean he's invincible but he is just better than anybody under and maybe including 126. My dream fight is Gamboa Donaire at 126-130. I know they're a little separated by weight right now but its the kind of fight that could finally transition from the circus fakeness and garbage that's become mayweather and pacquiao.___

Montiel just have to avoid Donaire at any cost but then he's a Mexican and will fight to the end unless he will be stop again by Donaire for sure.
