Does Sturm deserve a shot at Martinez?

After last night's performance, do you think he would make a worthy opponent to Maravilla?

He has a strap. That, along with unifications being clearly a good thing, means yes.

Plus, Sturm will fight tough in there and give it all he's got. Can't see what he has to beat Sergio with, though, if I'm honest.

The middleweight division really suck. Martinez vs Sturm is the best fight you could make at 160. I'm sick and tired of Sturm fighting B and C level guys. I'd love to see Martinez beat the crap out of Sturm.

Nobody likes a guy who has a basic style and has been reigning for so long, its true Sturm has been fed second rate opponents, but last night it was a different situation. He was put to test and he passed that test.

And I don't think Martinez can BEAT UP Sturm, after all Felix has always been a natural mw, a strong one. And he is too smart to let himself get butchered. I think Sergio wins but he will struggle.

i cant imagine sturm getting in the ring with martinez. i think its obvious at this stage he doesnt want to fight tough oponents, just defend his title in his hometown against the weakest possible oposition.

he ducked pavlik, the way he ducked abraham was plain embarassing, i think he turned down a fight with williams too and the list goes on..

martinez would destory him, sergio has his flaws but hes a real fighter. sturm is a buisness man, martinez is too big a risk for him.

:****you: Felix is gonna get the fight eventually, unless prettyboy chickens out. So rough on you and other Sturm-haters, I know.

              Yes.

Alot more than Dzinzruak, Manfredo, Chavez JR and Barker did/do. I think Sturm can win rounds with his jab, Martinez is way too open and hes not as effective when hes the agressor.

Deserve doesn't matter,Martinez deserves that title that Sturm has,the fight should get made so that Martinez can rid the world of Sturm for good.

He deserves to get that belt taken by Martinez, which is why he and Martinez should fight. It's not always about whether a guy can beat another guy. Sturm has a belt, Martinez should want it.

I think you are right, I hope so. What I know for sure is that Felix will give Martinez a better fight than Dzinziruk did. And Martinez deserves NADA until he proves he's a better man than Sturm!
