"American Idol-style judging must be used to prevent boxing robberies!!!!!"

A *****, believe it or not, gave the following suggestion to prevent bad judging such as we witnessed in two fights today:

"American Idol-style judging must be used to prevent boxing robberies!!!!!"

Specifically, the ***** suggests that public voting for who won a fight thru texting or calling should be used.

I wouldn't want public voting the be the official method, but it would actually be nice if HBO would have phone voting and show the results at the very end of the program.

Not really, a lot of guys would only vote for their favorite boxer, regardless of their performance, so even a guy who lost all the rounds could win because a lot of people could support him.

Believe it or not there are a lot of people who don't know how to score fights. We'd get the most ridiculous scores. Boxing is a round by round system which would be too complicated to calculate thousands of peoples responses. It takes time too which would be ****** to have to find out the next day. You would have to be like "33% score is 120-108" ect. ect. It'd just be dumb to have people not score round by round and just say so and so won because then dumb casual fans would say so-so won because he looked good the last few rounds when the other fighter won a lot of early and middle rounds.

They just need monitors if they don't already have them.

The only way to avoid robberies is to have unlimited round fights and see who drops or quits first

Horrible idea. It will only end up being a popularity contest.

                    Suggestion:

                    6 judges

                    3 judges that we have.
3 random current active professional boxers.

Also, 2 judges and 1 boxer judging ringside.

1 judge and 2 boxers judging by way of televised method meaning they have access to all angles of the fight since HBO, Showtime, and ESPN are capable of having multiple cameras at all angles.

Then the match is decided this way. Any thoughts?

It'll be good to have active boxers judging the fight since they can represent the boxer's community a lot better in how they judge a fight.
