It was a very good & entertaining fight(like expected).. Alexander showed a lot of heart, ironically the heart he needed at the Bradley fight!! But even thou Alexander stood in there taking Mathysse's shots & fighting back & had a NO GIVE UP attitude, I thought Mathysse definitely won the fight.. Mathysse landed the better, harder shots & was the aggressor & dominated most of the fight & scored a knockdown.. Alexander had some serious HOME COOKING & HAD DON KING(who's also from St.Louis) on his side & most likely had something to do with the outcome of this fight..People talk about fighters going to Argentina & getting robbed, but with Mathysse it has been the TOTAL OPPOSITE cause he's been robbed twice(Judah & Alexander) & both have been in the u.s.. One could make the argument that the Judah fight was close(a lot closer than this 1) but a lot people still think he actually won that fight..

TBH, I can't stand Gary Shaw and I'm far from a fan of his, but tonights fight and the Kotelnik fight were the exact reason why Shaw fought tooth and nail to keep the Bradley/Alexander fight out of Saint Louis.

Alexander definately showed more heart, and desire to fight tonight then he did in the Bradley fight - so my hat is off to him. But in no way did he beat Matthyese (although it was somewhat close), and that judge who scored it 93/96 (INCLUDING A DAMN KNOCK DOWN ffs)for Alexander should be shot on site. I knew it was coming though so no huge surprise there. As Steve Farhood insinuated, Alexander UD by brutal hometown decision

A little off subject but, what the hell is with Devon Alexander's neck? I once heard someone refer to him as looking like a ninja turtle, and I swear that's all I could think of when I watched him tonight. He almost does walk like he's a little hump backed.

Oh yea, and the words all fans just looovvve to hear(Umm, NOT)[sarcasm]... coming from a trainer to his fighter inbetween rounds ... "Just do me a favor and the only thing I want you to do is grab on with both hands and just hold him! Shoot off one or two punches on the inside and just keep holding on." Iye, this is what our up and coming young talent is being taught these days huh? So sad.

A side thought: There were a couple of small head clashes, and around the 8th round there was a little blood under Alexanders right eye. I'm pretty damn sure it was Timothy Bradleys fault.

It was a very entertaining fight, thought Alexander made a huge mistake when he decided to trade with Lucas, who was landing some huge bombs. Got to give credit to Alexander for taking those huge shots, and showing a lot of heart and a good chin. Clearly conditioning was not there for him and needs to go back to the drawing board. Like the kid, but he got a gift tonight. Close fight, but Lucas clearly won.

Dude what early rounds are you talking about. Even if you give DA the first 3 rounds, he got knocked down in round 4. If they split rounds 5 and 6, Lucas almost knocked him down in round 7. After round 7, Devon only won round 9 and lost round 10. This guy Devon Alexander is a garbage fighter, in terms of being elite.

Listen all grown men on this website, Stop being a ****ing cry baby. It was a close fight, and Alexander got the decision.
