I ran into Dale Brown last night...

He's bigger than he looks on TV.

I was at a local pub here that played the Showtime card, so it's a popular place here in town.

I had been polishing off many a beer, and on on of my trips to the mens room, I saw Dale Brown come out. He walked past me and I turned around to see if it was really him.

Sure enough it was.

I extended my hand and said I was honoured to meet him as he's a local fighter who's had some fairly big International Exposure.

He seemed flattered that I noticed him.

Immediatly I said:

"Dude, you WHOOPED Oneil Bell".

He was caught slightly off gaurd and laughed pretty hard, but stopped half way through where his face suddenly turned very serious. He immediatly responed with "I know".

He was a nice guy, and I wished him well and said I hope to see him get another crack at a title.

surprised the whole bar didnt leave halfway through the byrd fight, Brown did beat oneil bell, 117-111 for bell what? get outta here with that stuff, Brown is a good fighter maybe not regining world champ for a while good but good for just boxing fans to have

I don't think that's true. Or at least hope it's not.

Brown fought Braithwaite, Moremeck, Jirov, and Bell.

He's not a world beater, but he's a credible and durable top Cruiserweight.
