What motivates a man like Floyd Mayweather?

What keeps Mayweather from losing it mentally in the ring? Why wont he go down, why wont he lose, how does he keep his composure, how does he keep his mental toughness in the ring. With the crowd always against, history against him, the outside the ring problems and distractions. What goes through his mind during fights. I know he hear the crowd taunts and the cheers for his opponent never for him. He hears the commentary which never promotes what he does during the fight. He doesnt tune it out he hears everything so how does he deal with it. When he is behind what makes him turn it around when noone wants to see him do it. It cant just be the money cause he would get paid regardless.

Does Mayweather have some type a switch in his head that can turn him from buffoon to genius. Being boxing is mostly mental, how can one who is so incompentent outside the ring be brilliant inside it. Unlike team sports when you in a hostile environment you have each other. That is not the case with him.

What Im asking is what motivates him? How can someone not have an off night when there is noone to pick him up or motivate him when things seem bleek. I never seen Roger or his father motivate him just mostly degrade the other opponent. Outside the ring he seems mentally unstable, but inside the ring he cant be phased. It reminds me of the movie character Billy from "White Men Cant Jump".

Could someone enlighten me on the subject.

What motivates him is the fact that he must back up all the big talk he does in the press conferences.

Most likely the fear of ridiculing.

Most people doesn't really fear losing, but they fear losing the status in the eyes of others.
Or fear the possibility of being embarrased in front of other people.
