I am one of the few who is a teddy atlas fan. I get annoyed when he picks on fighters i.e. when he talks some **** about shane mosely. And he is a bit negative but a lot of that is because he understands subtle nuances that most do not. He has made some bold predictions that were wrong but boxing is an unpredictable sport. I'm just saying I dont think people should get offended when teddy is letting you know something about mental makeup or technique that a lot of announcers wouldnt be able to.

I believe the few ring wars that Atlas had are started to take effect maybe he belongs in a Nursing home

        Real recognize real.

Teddy knows that to be a proven winner you got to beat legit opponents. Saul hasn't exactly beaten anyone legit. So of course Teddy isn't going to be impressed by Saul beating journeymen.

It might come out a little harsh, but Atlast never tries to BS, he'll just tell you like he see's it. Yes, Alvarez is only 20-21 years old, and he's just starting, BUT Atlast's observation is true, he has been more defensive, and selective with his punches. And like Atlast said, IT'S NOT bad, just different. I wouldn't say it's hating, just seeing whats in front of us. But Alvarez sure has quite a bit of room to grow. Eventually we'll see him a though fights, but now it's all about learning and fighting against experienced fighters. You could translate this article a hundred different ways, but i'm not going to get on Atlas' case, it didn't sound offensive to me.

Rodes WAS his toughest test. Anyone that know of Rhodes would have told you that the matching could even be called even. Just because YOU didn't know who Rhodes was didn't mean he was a bum, just means you're not as knowledgeable as you thought you were. Alvarez dominated Rhodes. He passed his first real test. He DOES need to keep stepping it up though.

Teddy Atlas has a point about Mexican fighters coming to get you, but that may be part of a boxing culture ending in the televised world. In Old Mexico boxing was a spectator sport in the sense of a small venue, depending on a live gate, with the real threat of rioting or worse for a lack of action. Stinking was not allowed, ducking was boo'd, and footwork was running to ring center at the bell. I saw a Mexican referee stop a fight once and threaten a fighter with a loss of pay if he didn't show more courage. The referee not only officiated, he protected the house by forcing the action. This doesn't happen on HBO, and it's disappearing in Mexico.

Atlas might be right, but he doesn't know what he's talking about 90% of the time.

HAHAHA!! That'd never happen though cause he'd never make it to the "ecstasy" part. He'd still have her in the kitchen, telling her how to "set up the table" (refference to how Atlas is always saying **** like "before you can have dinner, you have to learn to set the table, and before you can set the table you have to have the right tools......"

This dude is fckin annoying especially in the Fight Night series wish they just cut him lose and add the dude from WWF Jonathon Coachman haha. Everyime on FNF I hate watching his lame ass fight plans that never even play out the same. He is an intelligent man but he thinks hes the most and thats what annoys me. He hates every fighter its nothing new hell he was ****ting on B Hop so I dont think talking bad about Canelo means much to anyone except the haters who already hate. Canelo is only 20 in 5 years people will be on the bandwagon when hes moved on the bigger and better things. Like someone said N'Dou, Baldomir, Miguel Vazquez (twice), Jose Cotto, Ryan Rhodes, thats a pretty good resume for only being 20 its a learning experience and as time goes hell move on the better opposition.

Lol at PRcotto When did Rhodes land anything meaningful against Alvarez? He didnt because Canelo was slipping and moving away from his punches very nicely. His defense is improving and if you cant see that your just a hater.

Atlas how bout you worry about moving Povetkin along bro? Worry bout your own fighter who is fighting no namers in ballrooms in unsanctioned glorified sparring sessions.
Canelo just needs to make an appearance on FNF lol. Atlas is a flip flopping hypocrite who talks smack about certain fighters and then when they come on the show, he spends the night gargling their sacks and making them sound like the best thing since sliced bread - Bernard Hopkins case in point. I can't even watch FNF anymore without DVRing it. Have to be able to FF through Teddy's fight plans and MUTE has become a neccessity for real...

Alvarez is a sorry excuse of a champion. He hasnt fought anyone worth bragging about. Even with this being said, he has yet to impress the crowd. How the hell can sullaiman say rhodes was the number one challenger? Canelo is a fake ass champion.
