Why make an easy fight harder? If he truly believes pac is using as he should since dude refused the test, then theirs nothing wrong with asking him to do OST? Why now, why not? first time for everything. We can go on and on and on. I never said manny was a bad fighter. you assumed thats what I felt because hate any criticism he gets.Comment

This is funny ...you are changing the topic of your own thread to OST now. Pretty soon we will see IMDAZED posting in this thread on the same boring issue.. You went from Pac is not a finisher to OST. I dont have any idea how those two topic can be linked but some how you figured it outWhy make an easy fight harder? Barrera had many pre-fight problems before the fight.
Barrera had to come down from high altitude training many times cause he needed medical clearances for a metal plate in his head.
When a fighter trains im high altitude, he is only supposed to come down to city levels, only once, and at the right time.
If you come down too soon or too early its not good efect on the stamina, an if you come down more than once, it will really screw up the stamina.
Thats why Barrera ran out of gas prematurely in the Pac fight, cause he's stamina was not gonna last long, and even Freddie Roach knew this beforehand, which is why Roach placed a $10,000 bet that MAB would lose.
and on top of that, Barrera had wife divorce problems, promoter/manager problems cause he changed from Forum Boxing to Golden Boy, and then there were masiive wildfires in his Big Bear training camp, that he had to relocate training camp from Big Bear to San Diego.
by the time MAB stepped in the ring with Pac, MAB was all mentally turmoiled, and his stamina was partially depleted.
barrera was beatable that night.
anyone contender in the top 15 couldve beaten Barrera that night.
heck, Morales couldve beaten Barrers with only one arm (with the Morales' other arm tied behind Morales' back).Comment

you must've been in a coma in the year 2003 or had your head up in your ass ,, but all this happened in 2003.
even HBO crew mentioned during the Barrera-Morales 3rd fight.
Rewatch it and youll hear Jim Lampley mention all the distractions that Barraer was going through prior to fighthing Pac in 2003.
after the fight, DealHoya was standing next to Barrera and Oscar also mentioned it to Larry Merchant.Comment

the plates being in his head didn't happen in 2003...the only distraction he had was leaving Big Bear because of the fires...he left a week or 2 early
and LOL @ stamina issues...yea, Marco gassed out by the 4th round...da****outtahere with that ****Comment

The metal plate in his head was disclosed a few weeks before MAB fought Pac by his former manager-Ricardo Maldonado , because Maldonado was pissed off at MAB cause MAB had left Maldonado (along with Maldonado's business partner/promoter-Forum Boxing) to go with Golden Boy, and Maldonado retaliated against MAB, by waiting 3 weeks before MAB fought Pac, to disclose to the Texas commission alsong with Team Pac, about MAB's head plate.
The commission requested that MAB seek medical clearances before the fight and MAB had to leave high altitude training prematurely, which was too soon, cause it would screw up the blood/oxygen mixture/ratio cells in his body.
Then after the clearance fiasco, MAB again had to leave high-altitude training to go to san Diego cause of wildfires.
Even Larry Merchant knows this, and stated it in this other site:
...Not wanting to discredit Pacquiao's victory but still wanting to throw it out there, Merchant would come back to note that some of the personal turmoil going on in Barrera's life prior to the fight had tipped several people off ahead of time that perhaps his time was running out.
"Going into the Pacquiao-Barrera fight, one of the reasons that it wasn't the big shock, at least to insiders, to the boxing people, what happened to Barrera was that his camp had been broken up twice, I recall," Merchant said. "Once it was because of a fire up in Big Bear and there was a lot of discomfort. Perhaps he took Pacquiao lightly but I remember going into the fight there was a lot of turmoil going in the Barrera camp."
True enough, Barrera did have some issues prior to the fight but all credit goes to Pacquiao for seizing the moment and delivering a world class performance....
and here's the link:

or Google the words: LARRY MERCHANT EXAMINER BARRERA
and you'll see the link listed.
but if you watch the replay of Barrera-Morales III, youll hear Jim Lampley state evevrything from wildfires to wife divorce, to manager problems that MAB was having prio to fighting Pac.
