these predictions seem the most reasonable, if matthysse doesn't get the stoppage, alexander gets the decision.

i agree. the variables that will make the difference, propelling alexander to victory are: 1.) hometown advantage, 2.) fleetness of hand and foot, 3.) stamina - (jab/punch output).

Alexander will be on his A+ game tonight, he will box to a UD, otherwise, his career is pretty much over as a potential star.

yes i agree; and on the flip side, if alexander puts on an exciting fight - displaying heart and soul - he can be a fight or two away from being a star. Im hoping that there is lots of two way action and devon shows his chin and heart.

Really there are only a few American fighters who can sell more tickets than alexander.

@ Steve Farhood - Devon Alexander by brutal hometown decision. It's sad when even the experts say an opponent can't win without a K.O., before the fight even happens.

Seems like most are choosing Alexander primarily on the fact that this is a do or die fight for Alexanders image. I think even though Devon has a home State (& Country) advantage over Mattyse, he's shown before that nerves and adversity can get the best of him. My guess is that his anxiety is going to be waaay worse then it was against Bradley, because of the very reason that he needs so badly to look impressive.

If Alexander doesn't land his jab better then the 18% he did in the Bradley fight, he's gonna have a difficult time keeping Mattyse off of him. All I really hope for is (if there's no K.O.) that the judges don't give Alexander another blatant win like they did in the Kotelnik fight.
