I strongly disagree. I like both Wladimir Klitschko and David Haye as fighters. The fact of the matter is that both are credible foes. Both have quality resumes and both bring something to the table.

Some might say that Haye talked himself into the fight. However, that has it's advantages for all involved. If Wladimir Klitschko manages to win, then it proves to casual fans that he beat the biggest mouth in the division. He looks like someone willing to face all comers. He'll have also brought together virtually every championship.

It's win-lose in it's purist form. If he loses, it means everything. Everything depends on the fashion in which this fight goes down. But, if he manages to stop Haye and erase any doubt, then he's probably more popular than he is now in America and even more popular in boxing in general.

Same could be said for Haye; if he loses he's just a cruiserweight who had no business fighting the top heavyweight, if he wins then he only fought the 'weaker' brother'.

Truth be told, whoever wins will get credit as it's the toughest fight for both.

Yes, ali struggled witha smaller weaker foes, ever getting clocked by couper, or robbing ken norton, ..

a green vitali spanked lewis all over the ring and effectively retired him, what this version of wlad would do would be unpredinted to lennox.

I cant think of a heavy weight with wlads speed, athleticism and stregth to be able to rock with him.

lewis would have poleaxed wlad within 3 rounds prime v prime no question he would have been scared of wlad power and jumped on him early...as for vitali it took lewis a few rounds to warm up and get going after having 13 months out of the ring but when he got the range he was landing big power shots on vitali and cut him to bits
oh and imho...vitali would beat wladimir wlad may be a better technician but noit as rough and tough as vitali and vitalis chin is granite

To be honest, If I was Wlad fan I wouldn't be to worried. They're finding themselves stuck by buying into the hype.

Wlad should expose and dispose of Haye.

I'd like to see Haye win, but I see this an unlikely result.

Haye backers are banking on one thing - the money shot. It's a slim chance.

                  Ali's resume > Klit's brother combined

Prime Lennox > both prime brothers.

I like the klitschkos... great fighters.... but vitali DIDNT spank lewis.. and lewis would have ko d wlad %100 lewis was as tall, fast and had a jab just as good as wlads so wlad wouldnt have been able to jab and box like he does he would have had to fight lewis like vitali did and he couldnt survive in that kind of fight with lewis.. maybe he would have had some success against the old version of lewis that vitali faced

It all depends on how the fight pans out.

IF Haye stuns Wlad and has him in trouble early in the fight, then we could see a dramatic battle unfold where Wlad is finally given a lot of credit if he then recovers and outboxes Haye.

IF Wlad simply outscores Haye every round in a cautious fight (or knocks Haye out), then yes, people will probably complain that Haye was all hype.

Wlad still has some more interesting fights after this including Helenius, Povetkin, plus a handful of young prospects from UK, US, and various places in Europe just around the corner.

But I agree that there are no HW stars right now to really challenge Wlad or improve his resume very much.
