    Sergio 'Maravilla' Martinez is riding strong on the promise of Jose Sulaiman, President of the World Boxing Council (WBC), who recently told him that the sanctioning body's middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. would have to face him by March of next year. Chavez has an optional defense scheduled, likely against Peter Manfredo Jr., on the tentative date of November 19. Martinez faces undefeated Darren Barker on October 1.

                              That's what happens when you win a title. you have to fight more so than before. what has boxing turned into when professional fighters need to continue to keep fighting weak opponents before fighting a legit one? So what if Martinez wants to fight Chavez Jr. Dude is a champion now. Time for Chavez to step up win or lose.

                                  Yup, something is going to happen between now and March for this fight to not take place.Either Martinez will lose or look bad in his next fight(which I hope not) or Arum will think of something.Arum will definitely go to extremes,maybe fake his death or think of something to avoid his little cash cow getting murdered by Martinez.
