The speed difference in the second fight for Ray Rob is amazing. He seriously changed everything. Started countering instead of feeling the need to be first, and firing flurries instead of just looking to clinch - he got hit there in the first fight.

Basillio through some nasty body shots, and Ray Robinson felt them he was on his bicycle.

Breath taking the shots they both took, hopefully as technology gets better more fights will be restored to this type of clarity.

The big change from the first fight is Ray is throwing more uppercuts and body shots and whenever Basillio gets inside he holds him.

That win against someone who is considered by many as the GOAT was an amazing accomplishment, especially when one takes into consideration the disadvantages Basilio had to overcome; 4.5 inches shorter in height, about 5 inches less in reach, and 7 or 8 lbs. lighter. He also was not that great as a boxer with 56 wins and 16 losses out of 79 fights and a low 27 KO wins.

Basilio didn't even clinch in all of those highlight shots. White people should be proud that their style of boxing back then is the style Mexicans do now which is a come forward style. SRR kept clinching every time Basilio whacks him with those body shots. How many times did Basilio get hit to the chin and kept moving forward? Great video.
