why hasn't Cotto fought at WW since the 145 Catchweight

I'm curious as to why he haven't made 147 since he fought Manny at 145 catchweight. did he feel weaker at that catchweigth fight against Manny and the Clottey fights?

I've seen interviews where he said for the right money he'd go back to 147 and doesn't have problems really making weight. But obviously said it's easier making 151-153.

I think Cotto (like a lot of Latin fighters) can't let go of Mom's cooking lol. I don't think Cotto's really ever been the one to be 100% in shape year round and obviously as you get older it's gonna be harder to keep off the weight. I think he could make 147 today, just not sure is he'd be ass effective as say his fight w/ Mosley.

There was the Berto fight, but apparently Berto priced himself out. Jesus...I can't even imagine what would've happened to Berto in that fight.

He went up in weight to win a title in his 3rd weight class. There really wasn't anyone left at 147 for him to fight (he lost to pacquiao badly, beat clottey, lost to margarito, beat mosley, beat judah). Him going to 154 was attractive in he got a title fight against Yuri Foreman, whereas at 147 there was no one for him to fight (other than someone like Andre Berto or a fight that may never happen in Mayweather).

He doesn't belong at 154 though, he belongs at 147. He's really pushing it at 154

If he was smart, he would make the Cheato rematch at 147, I'm pretty sure it's harder for Cheato than for Cotto to make welter.

its not like 154 is loaded or Cotto is fighting the top guys there so I'm assuming it has something to do with him not making WW comfortably anymore.

plus at 147 you could fight any of the top 140 guys who were looking for a big fights

Didn't they say Marg had a tough enough time making 150? Marg prob be drained now at 147. I still don't know how that dude made 147 along with P Will.
