After Floyd and Manny: The Next PPV Stars

Obviously Floyd and Pac are the 2 current guys who can legitimately sell big time PPVs. Who do you see as the next group of boxers whom could takeover their spot as major PPV draws?

You think Canelo and JCC Jr's lack of English will prevent them from really crossing over? It was good to see Canelo speaking a little English in his last post fight interview.

Beating Floyd or Manny seems like the quickest route to stardom. Ortiz has a helluva an opportunity on his hands.

No one will ever compare to Oscar, Floyd, Tyson, and Pacquiao.

Although, I see great things for Canelo as the new cash cow and PPV star.

Next, I see Amir Khan if he beats Judah becoming a legitimate PPV star here in the U.S.

Brandon Rios fights like Antonio Margarito, talks like Mayweather, and has a heart like the many great Mexican/Mexican-American boxers.

Who else, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. if he beats a really dangerous boxer then he will become a legitimate PPV star.

              For Puerto Rico, who knows...

For the Philippines Mercito "No Mercy" Gesta. If he steps up and makes noise wherever he goes surely Filipino-Americans will support him.

For Korea, dammit. Still can't hate at least we can make it to FIFA World Cup and baseball's World Cup.

There;s not a lot out there. Canelo? Khan? I just can't see them carrying the torch at this moment.

Superstars emerge from fighting other stars. Boxing's best must fight the best. Until that happens, who wants to buy any PPV? Seems like a real waste of money.

well Canelo is already showing that he has Drawing Power, he will always do well in Mexico...not really sure if he will be able to do 1 Million PPV Buys Consistently in the US like those two

I don't think any other star will reach their Drawing Power because it is no Oscar De La Hoya around to pass the PPV Draw/Cash Cow TORCH

yes Canelo and Chavez Jr can do great....IN MEXICO but that doesn't mean they will be a major draw in the US

I honestly don't see that next potential CROSSOVER STAR yet to be honest, years ago someone like Ward would be labeled and pushed as that next guy especially with him being a GOLD MEDAL WINNER but now things have changed, boxing fans are not as SMART as they use to be so now CASUAL Boxing fans only want to see KO's and Sluggers...but even that alone don't make you a Crossover Star

i agree! Oscar got floyd and pac the exposure to make them what they are now.
and thats why i dont agree that theyre actually bigger stars now, he made them stars... i suppose it was because they were losing efforts in his case but still lol

I think Canelos skill and action style will have people watching, khan and ortiz seem like theyre being groomed for it...
