Anyone got orther reasons why Brokeweather picked Ortiz??
Wifebeater chose Ortiz because ortiz struggled with lamont peterson.he knows that as long as he doesn't brawl with ortiz its gonna be an easy fight. Berto lost to ortiz because he got too wild and started to brawl with ortiz.for ortiz too beat wifebeater he's gonna have to pressure wifebeater and walk thru wifebeater's best shots.but hopefully his chin will be up to the challenge.I doubt wifebeater has as much we power as berto our Maidana.

and you are proud to say that Floyd wanted to pick a guy that was not fully matured, as a boxer, nor ready to fight Floyd? I know that it would have "looked good" for Floyd to the average boxing fan ..... BUT what would be the point of the fight?

Ortiz comes from his biggest win (with Berto being the betting favorite) for the WBC belt (Floyd'as favorite belt) at WW (Floyd's division) and is ranked the best WW (2# contender) behind Manny (who has a fight set).

fact is that the fight did high HBO numbers (1.5M) and Ortiz has a big fanbase in Mexico and America.

                    any questions?

I have an excellent reason for you. Mayweather likes to fight guys that Pacquaio avoids because they are too good for Pacquaio at that time (ex: Mosley after he KO'd Margarito; Juan Manuel Marquez, before he lost to Mayweather; and now, Ortiz after he beat Berto).
