That's another reason why Boxing is so popular now and because of the big boxing tradition we have here.
More power to you guys as PPV sucks and I would much rather it was back on our normal tv and not PPV.
When Canelo and Chavez fight I can imagine Mexico coming to a stadstill whilst they all watch the fight lol

WOW that is a lot of viewers

That is why boxing need to get back to NETWORK TV in America...just like the Super Bowl and other MAJOR NETWORK EVENTS, you can make a TON OF MONEY from the Commercials

getting just over 1 Millions viewers on HBO in America...that is really not all that impressive if you really think about it

Boxing has turned into a type of luxury sport in America.. Where the high class watch the low class duke it out. That's how I see it at least.

You know boxing was dead here in the middle 90's till 2006 and why?

Well after Chavez, Televisa a big network here put all boxing fights on PPV, and that killed boxing in those years here.

Mexicans really dont use PPV, even the ones that can afford it will not pay for a PPV to watch a soccer match or a boxing fight.

A shame for fighters like Barrera, Morales and even Marquez, all those great fights they had and very few people in Mexico knew about them.

But that change in 2006 thanks to TV Azteca that resurrected boxing on Free TV, and 5 years later a boxing fight beats most of the times big soccer matches of the mexican league.

exactly which is why pac vs jmm 3 needs to land on showtime/cbs. a hbo b.a.d. or w.c.b. show getting a 1-1.5 million viewers doesn't do anything to help the sport grow any bigger than what it is now. hbo has averaged that many viewers for a long time. but if showtime/cbs continues to land pac's fights, that will only mean more exposure and more viewers for the sport.

If MMA could do that with Strikeforce, then Boxing can too.

But the greedy promoters and HBO will not let that happen, I hope Arum can break away from that PPV, HBO and Showtime circle and try something on Network TV.

Maravilla will be Star fighting on Network TV, it doesn't matter his opponent, casuals will think Barker is a British Killer.

Dibella should try to do that
