Do you know of any famous doping doctor helping an anti-doping commission? Of course, ideally boxing would work with WADA, but since it doesn't seems likely to happen any time soon, we can welcome any initiative.
I wouldn't waste my time trying to be logical with SpitBalla. He is just an internet tough guy who talks a lot of trash if he doesn't agree with you. Before long he will start inboxing you (like a stalker) with ridiculous messages like he did to me. I had to put him on ignore for flooding my mail box with hate. Hope he don't do the same to you.

I would have reported him but I realise that he has no life and is nothing more than a scarred little boy. If I took away the outlet for his rage he would surely try to act tough in the real world and end up being b*tch slapped by someone. I basically saved his life, he just don't know it.

99% of the people in this thread didn't read the article. Conte is offering his expertise to a consortium that includes Dr. Flip Homansky, Dr. Margaret Goodman and one other expert (Caitlin?). And we're talking about Conte's lack of credibility? SOme of you guys are dumb as crack.

But, would you ever buy software developed by a notorious ex-hacker and implement it as the standard for your company? Probably not - there is still a lack of credibility there that cannot be trusted.

If the NSAC wants to form a team of specialists/consultants like Conte in addition to other USADA officials, etc that is a great idea and he might be valuable to their efforts.

However, using a test developed by a known cheater as the possible standard for saying you're "clean" in the future is not a good look. If they want to use it in addition to the already accepted method (USADA), there should be no problem in that.
^^^^true but still, this is a good place to start if it's all done the right way, which some will want to assume....for as much as that means with Conte in the context

Ironically, Conte being behind this might be better than some schmuck in a suit that doesn’t know nearly as much about the drugs.…it’ll arise su****ions, but…...
He has some good people he’s looking to work with, like Margaret who has stressed the importance of not just steroid testing in boxing but has expressed interest in eliminating other ways of enhancing you performance, like testing for numbing agents (not sure if this will be applied in VADA though). My only concern is how exactly is everything going to be done. For example, Conte is involved with Nonito Donaire, how credible is it for Conte to tell us Nonito is clean? That’s literally a conditioning coach vouching for his own fighter. Other than a few other questions, this is great. I’ve long wanted fighters to voluntarily submit themselves in testing even if their opponent would not, just to set an example. This program will give fighters that opportunity and show the athletic commissions how it can be done.

They should do it like the real Olympic random test in which all year round 24/7/364 testing. If they do it like Floyd fake OST, they better gtfo!

Lets give a guy whos a proven cheater and a liar, who helps athletes cheat for a living, and lets give him government support with programs so he knows EXACTLY what to look for, great idea! Sounds like George W Bush of politics.

Conte needs to be shot in the head and dumped in a desert somewhere

You're absolutely right, but in my opinion, or I would hope, all this would create pressure on athletic commissions to take a step further with their testing procedures...almost like, lets not let this guy control blood testing within the sport we govern, lets take the action into our own hands.....not sure how much that matters though...eventually that new urine test should be available to NSAC and other commissions, and they SHOULD randomize that instead, if it truly does detect steroids better than blood testing - I can't imagine too many fighters having a problem with pissing in a cup, this method would go over smoothest, and possibly best.

Again, this, VADA, is a place to start...it's voluntary because no fighter owes them anything, but maybe this could pressure commissions to up their testing procedures until science creates a test better suited to detect the vast variety of steroids.
