instead of giving opinion, i'll state facts... the move to showtime/cbs prove to do absolutely nothing to impact ppv numbers.. the ratings for fight camp 360 were low, and i mean looooooooow..... ..

now my opinion, i hope it goes to hbo, theres nothing like 24/7 and the commentators for showtime are amateurs compared to larry merchant/ jim and who does not miss harrold, " jim i gotta tell you something"....

and having watch the pac/mosley fight with many "casual fans" at a bar, many people kept asking where are those other guys (referring to the hbo commentators) .....

anyways thats my post, pretty sure i'll get burry by all the same comments that are on this site... "*****".. "*******"
The ratings were still higher than any episode of 24/7 ever. And CBS ran alot of Pac/Mosley commercials during sports events and other shows. CBS is the highest watched major network channel with shows like Two and a half men and CSI and Hawaii 5-0.

CBS had a bigger influence on the PPV numbers than we give them credit for

Right, but the decision could affect if you watch guys like Kelly Pavlik in the near future on free CBS or pay Showtime, PPV, etc.

The ratings Fight Camp 360 received were among the lowest CBS has EVER received in those time slots. Yes it was broadcast TV rather than premium, but when a show gets the lowest ratings EVER for a time slot that is a massive failure for the network.

I dont see any big fights on network tv again because most people are not into boxing. No matter how much I talk up a fight or a fighter I can never get people at my work to watch a fight like Juddah Khan. My wife cant even sit through two rounds of Martinez Williams 1. It sucks because this sport is so awesome but most people dont care even with a guy like me trying to turn them on to it.

And Pacquiao still pulled in 1.3 million buys, with a shot 8-1 underdog coming off a loss and a draw, in a fight that was unpopular and 'boycotted'. Doubt CBS cares much about the ratings since A) If the costs are similar to 24/7, it only ran them like $1-1.5 million to produce and that's NOTHING to them B) The money they made off of the PPV made that back many times over.

Now imagine how eager they must be to get a fight that many fans have been clamoring for for years, one that's a virtual guarantee for action based on 2 classics.

P.S. Aren't you the idiot who claimed no one in North America cared about Pacquiao? How's he looking in that HP commercial

It really doesn't matter who televise it. It's not going to change the fact that the fight will be crap.
