When has Mayweather ever gone through a fight and thrown nothing but a jab for the first 6 rounds? Wlad does nothing but jab and step back or jab and hold. Mayweather doesn't just stick to a gameplan and does nothing else, if he see's an opening he takes it. Wlad does not and Mayweather fights like he does because he hasn't got great power at WW, Wlad has but he's too afraid to use it until his opponent has been poked to death.

Remember when Mayweather single handedly pissed on the whole nation of Britain?

      Good times.

Let's see....I'm sure Audley Harrison was good prep for Wlad, or perhaps Ruiz,or Valuev....who really fights "out of shape bums"?

Wlad has done nothing other than beat everyone they put in front of him.

Watch Floyd vs Marquez. The guy doesn't throw a combo until past round 5.

The thesis of this thread is only partially correct. Wlad's fights during his long winning streak have sometimes been boring (Ibragimov, Chambers until the last round), sometimes not (Brock, Austin, Thompson, who fought very well and didn't get enough credit for it),

That's part of the reason he gets called boring, but the other reason (and the reason Vitali, who is almost never boring, gets lumped in with this) is that he has been winning for so long now. I noticed an increase in the "boring" charge the more he and Vitali kept destroying the opposition.

Unless you are a fan, it is pretty boring to watch someone dominate a field.

Roger Federer, during his long run in tennis before Rafael Nadal started to dominate, bored me. I knew he was great, but he mowed down people so easily that it got tedious. And as is now done with the Klitschkos, his opposition was also heavily criticized, called mental clowns, etc. Federer fans, like Klitschko fans, greatly resented the "boring" charge. There is a real parallel between the Klitschkos and Roger.

I personally didn't find the Brock fight entertaining, it was boring up until Wlad put together a devastating finish imo.

Pacquiao's opponents haven't been great since JMM 2 but i would rank them all (apart from DLH) above Chagaev and Ibragimov P4P when they fought them.

Fine -- doesn't change my point in any case.
