all i know is that Roach feared Guzman. Manny would have done well at 135 but there were some interesting match-ups. theres other reasons why he didnt stick around....De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton. Manny's new training regime was so successful that they found a home for his strenghts at welter since he carried his power along with his amazing speed. not everyone can do that, and to be honest those advantages help him @ 147 more than they would @ 135.

it is what it is. i thought they chose D.Diaz to get their feet wet in the division. He was the weakest title holder and a win would easily earn Manny the right to fight Casamayor. i thought that was their plan, but Oscar came along and the rest is history. we can assume he beats everyone @ 135 and 140, atleast thats how the hardcore Pac fans see it.
