    Middleweight contender Matthew Macklin is drawing a lot of inspiration from his close friend, WBA heavyweight champion David Haye. Macklin has known Haye since the two boxers were young amateurs. This Saturday Macklin challenges Felix Sturm for his WBA middleweight title in Cologne, Germany. Macklin has stood in the background and watched his amateur mates, Haye and Carl Froch, win world titles. He wants to follow in their footsteps.

    Inspired by a guy who backed out of the fight twice a guy who has nothing except a big mouth and a guy who's gonna be tasting the floor come fight night..doesn't look good for macklin.

                Im Macklin is the 3rd best opponent for Sturm to date after DLH and Castillejo. Macklin is no bum, i see him at least at Sylvester and Geale level. I hope he beats Sturm.
