Comments Thread For: Alexander Eyes Urango-Like Showcase With Matthysse

Former unified junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander (21-1, 13KOs) wants to recapture some lost ground. He lost a technical decision to Timothy Bradley in January. Now he wants to show the entire sport that he's still one of the best at 140-pounds. That's why he agreed to fight the dangerous Lucas Matthysse (28-1, 26KOs) on Saturday at the Family Arena in Saint Charles, Missouri. Matthysse will come to fight and wants to make a statement. The knockout artist from Argentina is one-fight removed from a close split decision loss to Zab Judah.

Good for him. He is still young and can still be a force in boxing. If he puts in the hard work and all that.

Matthysse is a better fighter than Urango. Less hittable, almost as slow though. Devon has that going for him. I expect him to win. I also expect him to get tagged a bit at some point.
