Im a big fan of maidana but i just don't understand why he took this fight guerrero can take a punch and take the pressure if ever there was a warm up to maidana, katsidis was it. Guerrero has all the skills to out box maidana the full twelve rounds after this fight where can maidana go a loss makes it near on impossible to get a rematch with khan he will be on the golden boy scrap heap . il pick guerrero to be the first man to stop maidana by tko

This is very interesting fight, I am going with the Ghost to outbox him to a UD but might have some interesting moments late as Robert has gotten huge leads early then faded down the stretch in the past.

if you want a fun fight this is almost perfect

guerrero has the handicap of being the smaller man who is largely unfamiliar with such a weight class,
while being the outright better boxer, with a style that is dependent on flashes of offense

if both guys want to win they are going to have to put on a hell of a show
chino with his limits and his brute strength and durability
        and guerrero with his skill

        some notes
chino has a good chin, but takes flush punches and does react to them, allowing for them to score well with the judges
the morales fight was maybe the best example of this

he recovers well and he's tough as any man fighting today, so he's able to continue to pressure, but he's not like a margarito or lamotta who simply doesn't react to a punch so they're less likely to score

when you hit chino on the chin it flies around and hurts him, but he keeps coming

and guerrero is a bit of a slickster, a bit of a cutie, but only a bit
        he does not run
he relies on hard punching and combinations to score his pts, which should make for some terrific exchanges of offense in spurts when chino fires back

i think that guerrero will outpoint maidana in a terrific fight that could go either way and it will be his coming out party
big fight down the road for the ghost, too

HBO loves his story and needs more pure good guys on their air who will fight anybody and be exciting and who do not run.

I am leaning towards Robert on this one. Chino is one tough MF! But have to go with Nor Cal all the way...Bay Area baby!!! DON'T LET THE WEST RIDE THE NIGHT!!! (Tupac)

Guerrero for sure has the better boxing skills. But I want to see how he handles moving up to 140 lbs, and if he can take Maidana's punches.

                Very interesting fight!

Can't wait for this one, going to be intense. Props to both of these guys taking on a tough opponent. I would say Guerrero could outbox maidana but with his first fight at the weight against maidanas power i dunno

I think Maidana has this. RG has no power and I dont think he's a better boxer than Amir Khan, and if fight went 1-2 more rounds Maidana wouldve sent Amir to the hospital. I would rather see Amir Khan - Maidana rematch, I think Maidana got unlucky with his punches and was 1 punch away from ending it at the end.

RG only chance of winning is by a Decision, having soft hands is not a good look, look at Paulie, he gets more fights and fans because of his attitude and personality and not his style.

The only question is will RG have the chin to avoid Maidana's rushes because Maidana is going to come out ****ing because of what happened with Khan. RG better work on countering only because that will be the way to beat Maidana, when he comes in you gotta counter him and maybe get a lucky KO.

I think this is a 55/45 fight. Maidana by KO 7
