Robert Guerrero overrated?

Read the Maidana-Guerrero thread. in the last month I've been noticing people hyping him up a bunch. No idea why tho. He has potential but they speak about him like he's some superstar.

He beat Katsidis(not prime Katsidis) and thats about it.

I will save my judgement when I see him fight a few more quality opponents.

The posts I've seen are either from his fans or promoter hyping him up.

I just think most people have him beating maidana. I do. I think he'l dominate maidana if he doesn't get caught swinging

Well he is certainly world class being a 3 weight world champ so your wrong there. He is certainly beatable. I don't think you should focus on his past losses too much, he is looking very good at the moment, some guys just hit a groove and peak and Guerrero seems to have peaked, it will take a he'll of a performance to beat him currently.

He is not world class yet, his best win is against a shot Katsidis who had 3 loses in his last 7 fights. Wasnt a prime Katsidis.

He couldnt even KO Katsidis.

I think Guerrero is a poor mans Khan, and Im a huge Khan hater.

Sometimes I wonder how many promoters/boxers family posts here to hype certain fighters up. Ive been seeing "Guerrero is great" posts for a while and was wondering, why? His record is not that impressive to warrant all the hype.

Hopefully it will be a good fight!

Dude is a good fighter,never really heard anyone hyping him like that..I think everyone can agree he is a world class fighter..But he is at the stage to start to show something more now(imo)and Maidana is just the right fight to do it..

He is a solid fighter who has dealt with more trials in his personal life than most people would care to think of and still managed to rise up as on of the better fighters in the world.

He is not spectacular but he is very solid and has developed extremely well in the past few years. Until his last 2 wins, he was called an overrated nobody by more than a few posters on here.

I believe RG has shown to be a world class fighter imo..He is not a c+ kinda fighter that's for sure..

Yes his 55% KO % I know he's not a Puncher. but Katsidis comes out and brawls and is prone to open punches and is KO'd easily.

by World Class I mean Top of their Division in the world. ie: Sergio/Manny/Wlad

Im not saying he's a bad fighter but theres alot of people saying "omg LULZ h3 gonna pwn Maidana" and few have them on top 10 list.

he's a good fighter that could be elite IMO...but his demolition job of Katsidis has some overrating him...he still beats Maidana IMO
