This is funny I was thinking the same thing on Sat(good thread)..But before I totally crown him the next. Berto I would have to see a few of his next moves..Bertos biggest problem was being protected and not adding anything new to his fight game..If Broner tests himself while learning on the Job he can be what Berto was suppose to be..I agree he did remind me of Berto, but its too soon to tell if that's the path he takes imo..
Am I the only one who thinks Adrien Broner is just another Andre Berto??

Broner will stay as far away as possible of Gamboa for now, it won't happen,
It's gonna be someone unexpected to derail this kid and make him realize where he really stands, maybe Jorge Solis.Comment

how do u "derail" a 21 yo? the kid is no berto. yes hes arrogant, but so was naseem hamed. as long as he backs it up who gives a ****? i dont see a berto comparison at all. the two arent even similar except for being of african descent.
ah well, to everyone on this forum, get used to the kid. ive watched all of hs recent fights, and he has a lot of improvement to do. but once he learns how to set up his counter shots, and he did a fairly good job of it last nite, hes gonna be one tough puzzle to solve. and oh yea, did i say he is only 21?Comment

Well, he seems to have a lot of potential. There is no denying that he is a prospect with decent ability. He's ways from being anywhere "great" (yet). Personally, he's got to check that ego before someone with skill checks him, i.e., end up like Berto.
But I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt...look foward to seeing him in the ring again.Comment

not impressed at this point. The two times I have seen him pressured he arguably lost both (Ponce and Quintero) so to annoint him anything is a little too soon.
Let's face it Litzau has been living on borrowed time and got the benefit of fighting the always enigmatic Juarez and the under trained Caballero to get to this point. How soon we forget how brutally KO'd he had been at the hands of Ghost and Jose HernandezComment

This is exactly what I'm referring to, I don't see why people would get offended at being compared to Berto, Berto is still a force and a problem for anyone at 147, I'd be more scared of him now than pre-Ortiz to be honest, he's gonna be a lot more hungry and I bet his attitude toward the sport, his opponents and his work ethic is gonna improve dramatically, if HE wants it.Well, he seems to have a lot of potential. I just think Broner is getting ahead of himself a bit with his ****iness, but he'll learn either through maturity, or getting checked, he's not at a level to be acting ****y just yet.Comment
