  • No more excuses

I don't wanna be a bastard about this... But can we finally end all the excuses surrounding Roy Jones Junior?

Roy Jones Junior hasn't been particulary good for boxing, he's spent a whole career avoiding any fighter remotely dangerous and frustrated us all time and time again with his choice of opponent.

After the 1st Tarver fight (which I thought RJJ lost) he tried to have Tarver removed as mandatory challenger for not being "a worthy challenger" ???... There's no excuses, that's not the behaviour of a true champion.

And enough of all the "Jones had to lose 25lbs after fighting Ruiz!"... For f**k sack, Ricky Fatton has to lose 50lbs everytime he fights! - You don't hear him bitching about it.

I agree. As much as you point out RJJ, take a very good look at De la Hoya's ass and you'll see he's more of a ***** than RJJ.

        hmm

Martin you are a complete joke of a hater with no class and this proves it. This is a pretty classless move by you, disrespecting Roy. We know you only like brawlers with no braisn but you need to stop letting that blind you.

You actually try to compare Calzaghe's legacy with Hopkins'...nuff said.

Roy is no *****. He fought Tarver and never "had him removed" like you claimed. Even so, Roy fought Tarver THRICE in his old age which proves how bad he wanted...he was just too old though.

There are no excuses for you being such a hater.

Roy won titles in so many different weight classes there is no way he isnt an all time p4p great, no matter what the critics say, even if you hate him, thats just too many titles, he could have ducked tarver, but he didint, and fought him 3 times.

Roy Jones Jr. is a disgrace to the sport with his excuses. Tarver has finally shut him up and ruined him for life.

                  Tarver > Roy Jones.

Would you consider Antonio Tarver an overachiever?

Another question, if Tarver goes on to fight and beat Glen Johnson and then moves to heavyweight and find success there or if he fights Lacy and beats him, would he be a hall of famer?
