    My top 5 Prospects in Boxing today....

    1) Saul Alvarez

    + Very Hard Puncher

    + Good Combination Puncher

    + Good Size

    + Effectively Aggressive

    + Cuts the Ring off Well

    + Nice Jab

    - Has face Eurobums and Mexicanbums as well

    - Needs to step up competition

    - Cardio can be a problem in the deeper rounds

    - Has one gameplan for every fight and doesn't adjust or change...



    2) Gary Russell Jr.

    + Amazing Hand Speed

    + Fast Combinations

    + Pretty tough fighter

    + Fast and fluid footwork

    + Pretty Good Technique

    - too young too to judge at this point
    - Is early in his career

    3) James Kirkland:

    + Raw Knockout power

    + Aggressive

    + Good Body puncher


    - Lacks any kind of defense

    - Shaky Chin

    - Blocks punches with his face

    - limited foot work

    - limited technique

    4) Fernando Guerrero

    + Powerful Puncher

    + Good Range

    + Good technique

    + Good footwork


    - Has not faced top competition

    - Chin and will not tested yet




    5) Deontay Wilder

    + Good Power in right hand

    + 87 in reach and 6'8

    + Very Athletic

    + Good speed

    + Tons of potential


    - Needs to polish his technique especially his jab

    - He just has the look of a guy with a glass jaw

    - Extremely raw

    - Basically fighting bums right now

    - Needs to step up competition

    - Has been knocked down by a bum

    Saul Alvarez isn't a prospect. I'm a big fan, but as a world champion, he should be classed as a legitimate title holder, thus shouldn't be able to to sidestep tough opponents using the 'too green' excuse.

      Titles don't mean anything. Canelo is 20 years old and should be treated as such.
