Will Cotto be able to make 147 by the latter half of 2012?

Since so many people are fascinated with Cotto fighting Floyd, would Cotto even be able to slim himself down to Floyd's weight?

147 is history for Cotto, he's not focused in that weight anymore and doubt he has any business there, if Mayweather or Pacquiao II happens it'll be at 154, if not he's moving on to fight JCC or Sergio Martinez for their 160lb straps.

Cotto gets down to 147 in a heartbeat for Floyd.

Cotto didn't go up to 147 out of necessity, he went up to try and get a belt in a 3rd weight class. He got the belt so he's defending it and he's eased up in the gym losing that extra 7 pounds this late in his career.

Make no mistake, he can still make 147 and would get there fine if Floyd came calling.

Easily, he's not exactly a huge guy - like say Canelo or Martinez.
