If I'm not mistaken, shouldn't he be 51-0 or something like that? I remember then stating that all they needed to do was get the paper work on those bouts but I haven't heard any updates on that.

Has anyone heard any new info on this?

It doesn't matter if it's 51-0 or 37-0, What Canelo does from here on out is what really matters and what he'll be remembered for, he's gotta face the beasts of his era and defeat them, he's the perfect age, size and has a great style to do so, all it is now is good management and focus & dedication, soon Pacquiao, Mayweather, Cotto, etc will have to face him to prove they still got it, and he's gotta take it to them to show that their time is done and he's here now to take over.

Not sure if you knew this or not, but Mexico has a terrible amateur system and alot of those guys turn pro around 15 and fights a ton of fights to simulate what would have been their amateur career.

Hell it's not uncommon to see an amateur with 100+ fights prior to turning pro being the same age Canelo is right now.
