    Whatever happened to Ricardo Torres?

He used to be one of my guilty pleasures, loved watching him fight, had dynamite in both hands and then since the Kendall Holt fight where he was knocked out cold (by headbutt or punch however you saw it) I've not heard anything about him.

Has anybody else? Does anyone know why he's not even competitive at world level anymore? Last I heard he had been sparring with Breidis Prescott and that was probably about 2/3 years ago at least

I think he retired after the Raul Pinzon fight, since he was dropped 3 times in that fight and was way behind on the scorecards before digging down to finish off a tired Pinzon in the final round.

that was an exhausting fight for him and he might have just wanted to call it a career.

thats a shame. I enjoyed watching him fight, he wasnt particularly old though was he?

I know his style probably put wear and tear on his body but i thought he had more left in him

some guys jus want to get out of the game early before getting too beat up. not a bad choice really.

Urango and Juan Diaz both did this in recent memory. Urango to pig farming and Diaz to law.

wow i must have missed Juan Urango retiring, or i saw it and it didnt really register. Losing Juan Diaz is a shame, but Juan Urango would never have been more than a gatekeeper anyways, probably the right decision for both and Torres
