it was an entertaining fight...one sided but it was entertaining...i liked canelo's poise last night...he showed good defense and technique..

its not that it was a totally boring fight, for me its just hard to stay interested when you know who's gonna win as soon as the fight is announced. these kind of fights should be on espn or fox sports. save hbo and showtime for evenly-matched fights where the best are fighting the best.

How can you say it was Canelo that out you to sleep? Lol I saw Ryan Rhodes barely throwing anything and just back peddling. Alvarez is the champion and in his hometown, he could easily just backpeddled all night and made Rhodes make the fight. You're supposed to take the fight to the champion especially in his hometown, Rhodes refused to open up and engage. Canelo boxed like a 30 year old prime fighter, Rhodes fought like the bitch that I thought he was gonna fight like.

I loved how rhodes acted like he wanted to win the figt in the corner and talked a good game but when the bell rung he decided to let canelo use his face as a speed bag and his ribs as a heavy bag. Rhodes couldnt figure out what to do, so instead he decided to do nothing but get punched repeatedly by combos in his face.

Who was the brilliant boxing mind in rhodes corner that kept having him switch to southpaw??? That was working great. Soon as he did, almost beforeche could set his feet he was eating right hands-every time.

All u people bigging up rhodes and talking about how strong he was and how he's underrated and a really good fighter should be ashamed of yourselves.

wtf? did you even see the fight? Rhodes is dangerous fighter with 10 win streak and 4 out of last 5 wins were KO's.

Canelo did what he had to do, he couldve went for the kill but thats how Rhodes got his last win.l You dont wanna blow your load to quick and get caught.

Canelo was schooling him and throwing amazing combos and had great ring smarts.

People keep saying that but what's being missed is that the reason Rhodes "didn't do *****" was a direct result of the opponent across the ring.

I don't fault the kid for his management team and their promoting antics. He's manning up and taking advantage of the opportunity. Seems to have a good head on his shoulders when you consider his age, his popularity, the pressure, the lights, the cash, etc. Looks like he's putting in the work and looks to be improving.
