Toney wins against slow, chinny, plodding easy to hit heavyweights

Stop all this toney bull****. Toney is an ATG, but he aint beating the Clits, peter, byrd, Williamson, Mcline, Harrison, Chagaev, Dimentrenko,Brewster, and Johnson. All these guys would beat him, The klits would ko him, peter would drop him a few times, byred would school him, williamson would ud him, harrison would annihilate him, the two russian **** would ud him, brewster win a decision and overpower him and johnson would ud him.
he cant win against a heavy with decent defense, power, movement, and a chin. Guin, old holy, jirov, booker and ruiz are easy as hell to hit, slow, plodders. Booker, Ruiz, and Jirove dont have the best chins. A formula for a fat old bald bluegum midget to win.

All I have to say is u are full of it and Toney would kill Peter that is hallarious. Peters punches come from a mile away and Toney has great defense and use a shoulder roll. Peter will not land one shot and if he does it will be mostly blocked.

Karma to the thread maker for pointing out the obvious.

When people come down from this temporary high, they might realize how ****ing ****** some of the things they say are.

Toney beats the Klitschkos = Yeah ****ing right.

It reminds me of when Roy won the fight against Ruiz.....people immediately were begging him to call out Lennox Lewis.

      What a ****ing joke.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to success7 again.

As far as all those names that would beat Toney, the only two that are realistic are McCline and the Klits. None others. The only reason they have the edge is size. Other than that, Toney can outbox the rest easily, especially Peter, who is the most overrated Heavyweight of ALL TIME.

No skills + punching power = Saviour of the Heavyweight Division? Please. Go watch another sport.

Byrd might give Toney a tough fight, but that's because he's a timid counterpuncher. He might win a SD, but that's a big IF.

I agree, the Kilts are a tough matchup for him, and that's no doubt, but he still has the skills and the experience to possibly make it competitve.

Audley Harrison is the most protected Heavyweight in the division, and he is not ready for a boxer of Toney's caliber by any means.

Brewster is an average Heavyweight at best, and his run with the alphabet strap is close to over. You're impressed by a win over Golota? I'm not.

Toney is by no means unbeatable, but don't sleep on him.

Some people just can't recoginize great talent when they see it. James Toney has moved up from midleweight to be a force in this division, just because some of you don't like James's atitude or his personality doesn't mean you should disrespect the man.

He is a great fighter, he knows more about the sport than all of us here combined, and you can't say he can't do something until he fails at it.

We got alot of haters round these parts, not just for James but for alot of fighters. It must make people around here feel better about themselves to crticize people who do something 99% of you don't have the guts to do. Yeah you guys are real keyboard warriors.

Er, this is an opinion forum. Just because your opinion is different from others doesn't mean that they are lesser or greater than you. Get over yourself. We ALL know that every boxer is taking risks in the ring and living a tough and courageous lifestyle. However without fans with opinions (sane, crazy, ignorant, informed) they would be doing it for free or not doing it at all. The most peurile argument is what it is and can be pointed out but to just criticize everybody including yourself who is communicating via keyboard is a sad response. That's what this site is.

Toney will have problems with VK, but aside from that, I would have to consider him the favorite against most. He is much too schooled for one-punch Peter.

His Boxing skill level and ringsmarts are second to none.

                HITA2,
why are you always so concerned with what everyone else says. and why the hang-up with criticizing people. It's part of life....and yes I have boxed before. I have respect for any man or women that is willing to step in a ring, but that doesn't mean I won't criticize. Get off you moral high horse.

i disagree about the force in the division, he beat holyfeild (who hasn't), broooker, guinn, a NC against ruiz (and even if he won it was decently close).... so he hasn't ofught amazing fighters. none of thse guys have amazing power. if he fights a guy with HARD power, then i'd like to c him win. i wana c him fight brewster, brewster has the power and hard shots

Guinn was a quality opponent. It was a quality win. Saying anything else is just nonsense. Toney is much better than probably than anybody at getting you to fight his fight. Toney is smarter Guinn in the ring. So what, its a major part of Toney's game.
