Just because someone holds it doesnt mean that they are hurt. Sometimes it works to slow someone down and mess up their rythym. Being that TOS scored a knockdown, he started to get more aggressive and throw more punches. Wlad held on to stop him. Plus when one gets knockedown one has to take a moment to regroup.

I think the argument is, is that Wlad has recently been fighting huge punchers. They are the kind of guys to take your head off in 1 shot.
