Typical post fight thread. Before the fight he's the experience vet that's going to end his hype, after the fight he's a Euro bum. Funny how these bold statements aren't made before the fight.

I've consistently said that Canelo was going to crush Rhodes since the fight was announced. I was proven right.

Now the question is how many more Matt Hattons and Ryan Rhodes does he need to go through before he's ready to step up in class?

rhodes was a legit opponent, it's just his ****** gameplan that was, well, ******. he didn't come to win every round, he came to try and stop alvarez. he was looking for the ko while soaking up alvarez' punches. that's where he went wrong, that opening he was looking for never really came and it was too late for him to try and do anything else, he screwed himself over imo. i think alvarez is fine fighting natural or experienced LMWs. i think a good fight for him would be wolak or the powell/k9 winner.

I could go for that. K9 or Wolak would be interesting fights for Canelo....not the very elite of the division but also not easy walks in the park either.
