It would be incredibly ****** of Haye to say the fight would outdo Lewis-Tyson in the USA because these two are not as big as Lewis and Tyson put together at the time of that fight, Haye has only had 2-3 fights at HW against mediocre opposition so he cant and doesnt have the power to command a PPV event in america, Wlad even though is known in america fought most of his recent fight in Germany..even the Lewis-Tyson fight was bigger than this fight.

Haye vs Klitschko will destroy box office records in the UK. At 12 years of age, even I knew Lewis vs Tyson was a dud fight with only one person who was going to come out on top. In stark contrast to this, Haye vs Klitschko involves two prime athletes at the pinnacle of their careers. It promises explosiveness and involves a true Brit unlike that maple syrup loving pretender Lennox Lewis.

I don't care if this fight is big in the states or not. It's a heavyweight fight staged in Europe, involving two Europeans, and is distinctly a Eurocentric event. Which ever way you put it, this fight is far bigger and meaningful than IS ON. 90% of Germany will watch this fight as will nearly 2 millions Brits. The rest of continental Europe will be glued to their screens as well.

The problem is when BS cribs some of this stuff from elsewhere it loses the original context.

Well said. The HW division has bypassed America now. As long as no Americans are dominating, it will remain a cult item here. The action is in Europe for the foreseeable future.

Since when has BS had good titles? Half are misleading on purpose.

Anyway it isn't even on US PPV is it?

              1. That's what I'm saying -- they crib material out of context.

              2. No it isn't. It's live on regular HBO.

Nobody would have cared about this fight a decade ago. The main reason why there is so much hype behind this fight is because Wladimir is fighting a genuine challenger and not some bloated fighter going for a paycheck.

The level of this interest just shows how these Klitschko Bros have ruined the HW division for a decade with their robotic style of fighting and nobody wants to pay to watch mundane fights.

I don't think this fight will generate more revenue than Lewis-Tyson but it should brake a few British records.
