What the hell? James Toney vs Antonio Tarver?

Are you guys insane? What is with this talk.. This isn't the James Toney of 1995.. James Toney is a whale now, and Tarver is a stick... How can they possibly meet at a fair weight?

my dad will need to go to heavyweight. I remember him saying something like...if he would go to heavyweight, he will be there at about 215-220 pounds.

Toney would still win, he will not care about Tarvers punches and eventually ko him.

toney doesnt have any KO power anymore. if he couldnt KO rydell booker or dom guinn, then i really doubt he'll KO a p4per like tarver.

Yea, but Tarver would have trouble against Toney. Remember that Tarver does his best work when he has his opponent against the ropes, but Toney does some of his best work with his back to the ropes. Tarver cannot counterpunch against a veteran counterpuncher of Toney's quality. Only way he wins is by fighting tall and pumping that jab.

Toney has a far better chin that Jones, and doesn't get overly confident in the ring. Toney wins all the way.

Guinn has never been down or out, and Toney tore his bicep and tricep in the booker fight, so of course he didn't knock him out. Never underestimate a man who is 235 pounds and has been punching people for a living for 17 years. Anyone can get knocked out.

I don't think Tarver can put on that much weight and be affective.. He looks like he has a smallish build. Likewise I don't think Toney can lose enough weight lol..

Why would anyone want Tarver to move up to fight Toney. He could barely hold his own weight up tonight at 183. He looked like crap in this fight. If he put on weight, I'd bet on him losing like I bet on Tyson losing...after 4 rounds, Tarver would be out on his feet and one punch later, especially from a guy like Toney...Tarver would be on the canvas like RJJ.
