For the same reason Ledwaba was the favorite against Pac, as was Oscar (2-1 betting favorite, 9-1 odds against Pac winning by KO/TKO), and Barrera (4-1 favorite). If the trend continues and Floyd ever finds his balls...

Misconception about Manny's abilities and underestimation as in the past. I think the last odds made Floyd a slight favorite, whereas Barrera was a 4-1 favorite and Oscar a 2-1 favorite. Bettors were misinformed, and Pacquiao demolished the heavy favorites. Same situation here.

Better question is, if Floyd is the favorite then why would he rather go on vacation than fight Manny? Why would his trainer and father say he needs several tune-ups before even thinking about Manny, with the latter saying outright he wants nothing to do with his son in a ring with the underdog?
