And Lazcano... and they were rated fighters at LWW.
Re Margo, Clottey and add Cotto, they were not common opponents of FMJ/Pac and nobody knows definitively how FMJ would have fared against them because after one alibi to another he has not fought them until now. Now don't anybody start another fantasy fight argument here since that would be totally irrelevant and nothing else really but fantasy.
    And oh, yeah... too funny.

Hahaha, don't even mention Juanito. Juanito almost knocked his ass out. He isn't even fighting Clottey/Marg/Cotto he's fighting ORTIZ. A young guy coming off the best win of his career. At the same time I give Pacquiao some credit for the first time in a few years. He's fighting Marquez coming off a legitimate win over a tough guy, but at the same time he once again gets to have the advantage over him which is something he does in nearly all his fights.

Seriously, don't even try to play this game with me. "We don't know how Floyd would of done against those guys!" Psh please, at the same time we don't know what would happen if Pacquiao fought Mosley/Margarito back in 2009/2008. We don't know what would happened if he fought DLH at his natural weight at the time. We don't know what would of happened if he didn't fight a weight drained Morales.

      >_>

At least Pac fought those guys and do not forget, they were way bigger than him when they fought. So why has FMJ not fought any of them up to now. Why fight Ortiz who, even if he has a belt, is generally considered as somebody with a weak boxing resume and experience? Why not Cotto who, without question, is better experienced, has a belt and Ring Magazine #1 JMW, a bigger prize and challenge than Ortiz, and most likely generate more PPV which translate to bigger financial gain for FMJ.
"Seriously"...be more realistic and stop adding more alibis.

Why would he fight Cotto? Cotto is CLEARLY past his prime, and all that will do is bring on more critics. Get out of here with that garbage. He's giving the young lion a chance just like many other GREAT fighters have. Like you know, Barrera giving Pacquiao the chance when Barrera could of easily fought Morales right away. Comon man, stop with this nonsense. "He fought bigger men" so what? So did Roberto Duran, and Duran didn't just fight the names, he fought the actual top guys in the division. Did Pacquiao fight Berto? Did Pacquiao fight Bradley? Did Pacquiao fight Martinez? No? Okay then.

Did you not just mention something about Frazier and Hearns doing something after their losses? Is it not obvious that Cotto, the #1 LMW and belt holder, brings more to the table than Ortiz, Bradley or Berto? What better challenges are there for FMJ other than Cotto or Margo outside of Pac and Martinez?
With regards to Martinez, do you honestly think FMJ would meet him at JMW where he has been years back with ODH, and where he would be at least 10 lbs closer to Martinez's weight than Pac would be? It is on record that FMJ was considering fighting the winner of the Martinez/Williams fight, so where is he now? Yeah... fighting Ortiz.
Pac went up to WW less than 3 years ago. During that period he fought and "smashed" Cotto, clottey, Margo and Shane. What has FMJ done?
Realities... man, realities... not alibis... not fantasies...not woulda, coulda, or shoulda.

LOOK AT WHO COTTO HAS FOUGHT. Yuri Foreman and Ricardo Mayorga. Are you kidding me man? The only reason why he's the top guy is because Martinez and Williams moved up. Cotto was his last impressive win period. Plain and simple. If you think Mosley after his past two PISS POOR performances is a good win for Manny, then I'm done. You're one of those guys who wants a "good" boxing community yet you're telling me a WASHED UP COTTO IS A BETTER FIGHT THAN ORTIZ OR BRADLEY. That's all you had to say. I can't take you seriously.

"Look at who Cotto has fought" is nothing more than another alibi, an excuse, man. He still brings a better challenge and more to the table than anyone outside of Pac and Martinez. Pac fought him when he was closer to his "prime" and this was Pac's first real attempt at WW, while FMJ found excuses not to do so. Same with Margo, same with Shane when he was in his "prime", and the same story with the other top WWs who could have given FMJ some real challenge. And that, for people who are still in denial, is the reason why many boxing critics and boxing fans[casual or otherwise] have openly called FMJ a coward. They have now confirmed an obvious pattern.
This is getting redundant, but this needs to be mentioned once more; realities...man...realities.
Anyway, I would like to thank you for hanging in there and giving me the opportunity to debunk some prevailing distortions, excuses, denial, etc. which I hope would now open the minds of more people who followed this debate.
                See ya!
