Canelo was fighting a punching bag. He is a hype job, plain and simple.

    Terrible stoppage btw.

Rhodes looked terrible, wonder if the fight was fixed or something. He never threw a punch to try and hurt Canelo.

his corner had already thrown the towel in when the ref jumped in to stop the fight so enough with this poor stoppage garbage...the towel had literally reached its apex as the Guatemalan ref was stepping in to stop it...better for your wikipedia to be TKO'd by Alvarez in the 12th than to lose every round to him in a decision IMO. Personally, I did give the 6th to Rhodes though.

He still trains Gavin Rees. You can get your fix.

I call him a hype job because that's all he is. He looked "good" because he was fighting a punching bag. Angulo would destroy this hype job if they ever fight. Erik Morales stopped Zaragoza at age 20 to win his title, so will you, and everyone else, please stop using his age as an excuse.

I don't know what relevance JR has with this thread, so I'll ignore his mention now, as I did before.

training and getting paid to take a beating just aren't the same though.

I would take a beating from anyone from 100lb - 260 as long as I made a few mill. Go in and swing wildly and get KO'd. Alot better to get KO'd quickly than being punished by body shots for 11 rounds and getting KO'd in the 12th.
