    not really.

both of em are very cautious fighters, tarver a little less so.

it would be interesting, but it wouldnt be good.

Tarver is not to strong for Hopkins and they both share the same speed. hopkins is only 4 more years older and both of them need big fights to stay on top

Hopkins told his mother he would retire by the time he is 41, so I only see him fighting Taylor again, knocking him out, and retiring.

Tarver hits much harder than Hopkins, you cant be serious.

Tarver is naturally a lot bigger than Hopkins. Hopkins has been middle weight his WHOLE CAREER. Tarver has been light heavy weight his WHOLE pro career. At age 40 I don't see Hopkins bringing in much power if he were to fight at light heavyweight. I don't see Tarver going down to middle weight as well. He's already scrawny at his weight.

Jermain Taylor didn't do to bad with the jab against Hopkins. Tarver who also has a good jab and is a south paw. His size also puts him in good stead against Hopkins. Tarver comes off with combinations better than Taylor. Tarver is smarter than Taylor.

After all is said and done, I'd say Tarver has a decent edge over Hopkins.

                  hmm

Tarver was WAY overcautious with an old ass Roy in the ring with him. This means the counter-punching Hopkins would def have a chance to beat Tarver.

But...it would be one boring ass fight. No fireworks for the most part.
