Junior middleweight Daniel Dawson (36-3, 24KOs) returns on July 23 at the WA Italian Club with a regional title on the line. He fights for the Pan Asian Boxing Association interim title against South Africa's Virgil Kalakoda (26-6, 16KOs). Mundine is targeting the WBA "regular" belt at junior middleweight, currently held by Austin Trout, and Dawson is trying to claim the same title. Dawson wants a domestic showdown with Mundine to prove which of them deserves a title shot.
