Pac has a very unique style which comes with power shots from awkward angles. He has a good straight left hand and a good right hook. To come out with a win against Pac this is what I have come up with:
1. In and out...stick and move.
2. Keep Pac turning so that he can't set to throw the left hand but beware of the right hook. Moving clockwise should keep you away from the straight left and a peppering jab to nullify the right hook.
3. Throw lead straight rights often to the body and to the head followed by a jab to gain separation. Repeat this sequence often using great head movement by ducking, slipping, and side step counters to nullify the effectiveness of Pac's attack.
4. When forced into close quarters go over and under and finish with a strong jab to gain separation. Timing is the key to land good shots on Pac because he has great timing in which he capitalizes off ones mistakes. The common mistakes is thinking he's done punching so we say finish last and gain separation.
5. Never take a defensive posture against Pac by allowing him to pepper off shots. The result is that he'll take the round, hurt you real bad causing a knock down, or even maybe gain a KO.
6. Look for openings for heavy shots to the body. These opportunities have to be exploited. Especially if we can keep Pac moving, rounds 4-8 are the opportune time for landing these shots. We believe he'll slow down and may become lethargic, confused, and discouraged.
7. Assuming we are able to carry out the above, rounds 9-12 is the time to sit down on those straight rights. He should have slowed up enough so that we can use the straight right, left jab, right hook to the body, and final jab for separation. This could be very rewarding.
8. He should be lunging at this point which he did in the Marquez fight and other fights in late rounds. We have to time his lunges and hit him with a stiff counter punch.
This is what I could think of against Pac. I'm judging based on what I have seen in his last three fights and none of those opponents did any of the things I have mentioned with any level of consistency.
