We can't bash Marquez for moving up 2 weight divisions to fight the best fighter in the world in Floyd. When Pac moved up he never took on the best. Pac has had what 4 fights at welter and has only fought 1 champion and that was a catchweight. So he gets way too much credit in my eyes. Pac is not on Floyd's level no matter what the fanboys say. Pac vs Marquez will look nothing like the fight Marquez had with Floyd where in the 3rd or 4th round Marquez already looked defeated. Pac vs Marquez will go 12 rounds and Marquez will give Pac hell all 12 rounds.

Just stating that it would have been more advisable for Marquez , or anyone else for that matter, to have considered moving up to 140 first then 147, if possible. it has now happened for both of his WW fights even though against Manny its only at 144lbs.

The bashing, if any, would have been against Floyd, who negged the catchweight of 144 and was obviously the much bigger man in that ring.

Just like Cotto, Manny is coming down 1lb from his previous fight but I'm sure you don't care that Manny needs to do like Cotto nor that it's not at the full 147 weight (no cacthweight)? .... actually I'm sure that you are disliking that it's not at 140lb, right?


Finally, if Manny wins clearly this time, I presume you will give him credit? You are stating that it will be 12 rounds of hell, so that is what should be expected from you, right?

Oh GTFOH that hit that Pac hit shane with barely grazed him. That **** was fixed to make Manny look good. But Mosley refused to be knocked out so they settled for a knockdown and then have Mosley run as if he was so afraid of pac's power. A complete joke. Shane sold out period. Listen to the way ****m was talkin to Shane during the Floyd fight and then compare it to how he was talking to Shane in the Pacquiao fight. That **** was fixed man. Shane got his money and Pac got to keep this "beast" reputation in tact so everybody is happy. Except for the fans who we're booing that paid to go see that ****. I watched that sequence several times and it appears that there were two consecutive punches that hit SSM close to same spot, the jaw. Check it out and see if I am wrong.

its not just the 2 or 3 lbs. the point was that Marquez was already goin to be fightn at 9 lbs heavier than he had ever fought before at 144. So Mayweather wouldve already had a big size advantage. Plus May is not a big welter, and does not struggle to make the weight at all. He couldve made 144 if he tried at all, but he didnt even give the effort. When he weighed 146, he made no effort to take off the last 2 lbs.
Plus, it was obvious they were gonna do that all along b/c when reporters kept askn what the wight was, initially it was reported at 144, but mayweather's camp would only respond, iot's a welterweight fight, instead of sayin 144 or 147.
So, no 2 lbs is not that much of a difference, it was just that when u add that to the size advantage that Mayweather already had, plus the fact that it was obvious that Mayweather made no attempt whatsoever to make 144 - that's what was wrong wit the whole stiuation
