i am very disappointed in all the fights that happend tonight:
nicolay valuev sqeaks away with a bull**** decision over some guy named larry donald, even though valuev had at least 8-9 inch height advantage over donald.
kid diamond gets TKOd by nate cambell (who?). i think the fight shouldve been stopped a few rounds earlier, but kid diamond is no longer shining like his name implies.
chris byrd looked (so i hear) HORRIBLE against a ****ty opponent in TOS. this fight is just one of many reasons why boxing is so poorly regarded in the public eye. the fact that we have to call chris byrd a champion is so disgraceful, i really feel like shooting myself after aknowleding that horrid fact.
antonio tarver is a ****in idiot and roy jones is a ****in *****. roy fights like a coward: dont even throw punches, taunt and play around, turtle up when attacked, and dont try to prove anything. tarver, dispite the victory, looked only slightly better than roy... which still sucks: tarver just stood there, pecked away occasionally with his jab, didnt follow up, let jones taunt him, hardly took advantage of any opportunity, and although he clearly won, only won because his opponent hardly put up a fight.
as for toney, he beat some guy, a guy who some morons on this site thought would win, and said he wants byrd... as if byrd would fight toney.
and there are the results of all the "important" fights of Oct. 1st, 2005. IMO, for boxing, this night ****ing ******!
