I dont believe Martinez is nearly as good as people make him out to be, and the style Golovkin showed tonight actually is not a good mix for Martinez.

also I think this fight was a good learning experience for Golovkin, and he will get better after it. it showed me that he isnt a pampered weak amateur, he can grit it out and fight to the death.

I dont necessarily think that Golovkin would beat Martinez, but I sure as ****ing hell believe he has a better chance of beating Martinez than Darren Barker or Dzinziruk had.

Golovkin will destroy Rubio, Rubio doesn't have the chin he was stopped by Jantuah in 1 round and was decked by Canelo's older brother.
Ouma aint a natural 160 pound fighter.

      You saw the size difference.

Ouma had his best years at 154.

Rubio's chin is solid Mr. Box rec.

And, hey, he's watchable as hell. Much more so than the so far disappointing Korobov.
          Ditto!

Ouma had much more experience than GGG in the Pro ranks, they should work on a few things, and he will be ready

I know a pressure fighters who lands big shots in every round is bound to wear any guy down, but he definitely needs more work on his defense, he took way too many shots...

                Hhaha what?

I saw those fights live, you should try to get a copy of Rigoberto Alvarez vs Rubio, if Alvarez didn't get so exhausted he would have finished Rubio that was saved by the bell.

And I was really dissapointed when Rubio was destroyed by Jantuah like that

GGG needs to take another step up after this jr prob out of the question after that battle also canelo so his most likely foe would be Rubio and that would be sick.
I didn't expect him to fight so much on the inside w/Ouma and yeah he got caught but that's what happens in inside fighting your not exactly out of harms way but he showed good cond. and grit to stand and ****.
However not ready for serg just yet his style could cause problems for him though if he can stay in his chest and nullify movement and ability to set and load up his timing power shots

Golovkin was the first boxer to stop Ouma since 1999, back when Ouma was an inexperienced kid.

People should keep in mind, Ouma went the distance with Taylor, Martirosyan (robbed in that one), Rubio (he won that one) and other good fighters.

At the beginning I thought Golovkin might be making a mistake by going all-out to KO Ouma early, since Kassim is very awkward and durable. But Golovkin showed something new tonight: excellent stamina, which he didn't need against the bums that Universum had him fighting.

Despite having thrown a lot of power punches, Gennady was still throwing very hard shots in the 9th and final round.

Ouma has an awkward style and a solid chin, so I thought the best strategy for Gennady would be to outbox him and wear him down in the early rounds, and go for the KO late. But because Gennady is in great shape, his very aggressive approch in every round eventually achieved the same result.

Anybody who can't appreciate such an exciting fighter as Gennady is just a de****able idiot and not a real boxing fan.

I remember before one of Jantuah's fights they said he ran an ungodly amount like 20 miles or some ***** at a time during training.
