This is the same Dan Rafael that saw Berto/Ortiz and Hopkins/Pascal II as draws.

He calls Hopkins a racist in his chat then goes out to dinner with him (I'm sure he didn't mention it to him).

Follow him on Twitter and you'll see how late his news is.

The same Rafael that is rude to his "fans" in his chat, telling them to read the notebook (which is a rehash of press releases)

He SAVAGES David Haye for months then comes on Ringside on Sky Sports and says Haye's a great fighter to appease the UK audience.

Bear in mind that IF Haye beats Wladimir, Rafael is going to look like a very silly man.

I'd much rather get my info from Gabriel Montoya who is a proper journalist than Rafael who works from home.

Here's what it was in a nutshell:

I believe in his weekend notebook summaries and ratings, comments were made about John not getting a hometown "d", "taking it to Marquez," and "dismantling" him. Folks outside Indonesia saw the fight and many scored for Marquez (meaning they saw a hometown d) and John certainly didn't take it to him or dismantle him. Dan later acknowledged he hadn't seen it yet.

Here's the deal though....it was a gaffe but too much has been made of it over the years. I can't really speak to what Dan does or doesn't do at gyms but in terms of watching fights from around the world, dude puts in his hours. He watches more tape than anyone and his divisional ratings are a reflection of how close he pays attention.
