the only difference is that Maidana is a FULL OUT BRAWLER with very limited boxing skills compared to Lucas who has Power and a little more Boxing Skills and also Better Footwork then Maidana

What makes Maidana scary is that the guy is relentless. He keeps coming like Jason Vorhees at you. Khan hit this guy with a perfect body blow which had him rolling in agony on the canvas. Couple of minutes later Maidana is foaming at the mouth and chasing Amir around the ring like a rabid dog. If it wasn't for Joe Cortz playing a little bodyguard Amir would have gotten KTFO. To this day Khan's people don't want no part of a rematch vs Maidana for good reason.

They both fought Demarcus Corley 5 months apart. Maidana dropped him once, Matthysse dropped him 9 times....

Matthysse carries his power through out the whole fight while Maidana has had stamina problems in every single fight aside from Kotelnik and his punching power and handspeed seems to diminish after the first few rounds. If he was capable of fighting rds 9-12 like he does 1-4 Khan would have been ktfo.... but he doesn't.
