I like Max. Because unlike racist ass Larry Merchant, if there were no HBO he would have the same enthusiasm for the sport from the basement of his house or anywhere somebody would listen. My problem with Merchant is that he thinks he's deep but just comes across as an old fella that falls asleep at mid-sentence. Merchant is much worse.

Max has great enthusiasm and has way more respect for all boxers which I like. Larry Merchant is like Jim Rome sometimes expressing pure hate for the ones he is covering

I don't understand all the HATE Max Kellerman gets. He clearly loves boxing and KNOWS wtf he's talking about. Like somebody said, he'd still be enthusiastic about boxing from his basement if he wasn't on HBO. Dude asks TOUGH questions that REAL fans would ask and doesn't just cater to the casual viewers interest. Max is the man.

Showtime commentators are exponentially worse in my opinion. They stay ****ing up facts and come off as having NO knowledge of the sport.
