How much bigger is Mayweather than Pacquiao?

Floyd was 15-20 lbs heavier than Marquez in that night. In Pac vs JMM III they would weight as much as the same. This question is mainly for those who think it is a significant difference. I keep seeing post where posters say Floyd is way bigger than JMM but Manny is the almost equal in size. If Floyd fights Manny is his size a significant advantage and if so then how does Manny win when Floyd also has all the other advantages exept power and maybe speed.Comment

Floyd was bigger than Shane, against whom Manny had to stand on a box to reduce the height difference, so there is a definite size difference. I'd say Mayweather is a natural WW, Pacquiao is a JWW, JMM a lightweight.Comment

"I'm not going to have him struggle to make any weight. So he's going to fight at 147, that's now his natural weight, and that's where we're going to campaign at."
According to trainer Freddie Roach, any fighter who wants to face Manny Pacquiao from the junior welterweight division, or below, will have to move up the full welterweight limit of 147-pounds. Roach will not agree to any catch-weight between 140 and 147. If Juan Manuel Marquez, Devon Alexander or Timothy Bradley want Pacquiao, they must agree to 147 or the fight won't happen.Last edited by Zarco; 06-16-2011, 11:43 PM.Comment

if you started watching boxing in the last few years like most on this site this fact is hard to comprehend. Floyd can eat before the weigh-in and come in around 147. I saw an interview before he fought Mosley and he said how even during his "retirement" he always stayed around his fighting weight. Dude is a fitness freak.Comment

By Robert Morales - "Sugar" Shane Mosley has made it well known that in his mind he is a free agent and can fight for the promoter of his choosing, including himself. Assuming he is correct, that would make it much easier for him to get a fight with Manny Pacquiao because Pacquiao is promoted by Bob Arum and Arum and Golden Boy Promotions are once again at odds. Mosley, who turned 39 in September, has been promoted by Golden Boy for five years. Some of the fights he has had during that time include two with Fernando Vargas, one with Luis Collazo, one with Miguel Cotto, one with Ricardo Mayorga, one with Antonio Margarito and one with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Considering Mosley had already suffered two losses to both Winky Wright and Vernon Forrest, it would seem that Golden Boy hasn't done all that badly by Mosley. Richard Schaefer - CEO of Golden Boy - was approached Monday at Trinity Boxing Club in Hollywood, Calif., at a workout for Juan Manuel Marquez, who Saturday will defend his lightweight championship against Michael Katsidis at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Right off, Schaefer said he would not go into any details about Mosley's status with Golden Boy, with whom Mosley said he still owns stock.
