well said....the case is defamation....not the pbf demand for ost....the ost issue is for the boxing commissions to decide, if ever they put the subject on the table...

which pops the point that at this stage where much had been talked about the ost issue and the fact that the boxing commissions have not acted on it...does it boils down to the boxing commissions do not give merit or treat the ost as a non-issue?

      The fight will never happen.

Floyd ask more than 50 percent. That was the 1st obstacle but an agreement was made on the purse split.

Then the OST came, well we know what happen. 2nd obstacle, it work, fight not happening.

Now remember(guys don't have amnesia) that Jeff or Roger said that Floyd also wanted a representive from each camp to be present on the opposing camp. This is the 3rd obstacle in case the OST was agree on by Pacquiao team.

A Pacquiao-Mayweather have the possibility of being the highest ppv sale and highest earning boxing event. BUT IT WILL NOT HAPPEN. This fight will just be the most anticipated fight but that is how far it will goes.

Floyd started all this ost nonsense to begin with, let's not act like it just magically appeared out of thin air.

Then he proceeded to slander anther multi million dollar athlete in the media.

Seriously, how on earth is any of his mannys fault or problem?

Floyd made his bed, now people are pissed he s being forced to lay in it. When did slander become some exotic term thats so hard to comprehend?

I agree. It is almost as sad as you Pac nuthuggers thinking that this lawsuit actually means something or that it will actually hurt Floyd if Floyd loses the lawsuit. It is very uncommon to get a large judgement in a defamation lawsuit. Lou Dibella sued Bernard Hopkins for defamation and won a judgement for $800,000. If Pac prevails, he will win a judgement that will likely be less than $1 million. Mayweather will either fork out that money from the $42 million he earns from fighting Victor Ortiz or they will negotiate the judgement into the signed contract between Mayweather and Pac. If that happens, it will simply mean that Pac will get an extra $1 million. Floyd will still get the majority of the money in that fight....and Pac will still have to take drug tests with no cutoff date.

If it is more than $1 million, Mayweather will appeal it until the judgement is reduced or they are both too old to care. The other option will be an offer by Pac to drop the lawsuit if Mayweather drops the demand for OST and allows Pac to juice up for their fight (this option is off the table). Either way, Floyd will still come out of this financially better off than Pacquaio and he will still KTFO of Pac when they meet in the ring.

The reason the boxing commissions are not seriously considering it is because OST would reduce the profits of the promoters. There are only two to three fights per year where the gross revenue is $10 million or more. Most boxing cards gross less than $1 million and promoters make a small profit on the majority of their shows. They aren't willing to fork over $10 to $20,000 of their profits for OST. Blaming Mayweather and claiming that he is making ridiculous demands is just a convenient excuse.

                I don't know Larry.

It doesn't matter really, Manny's not budging on the test, so therefore Floyd is gonna have to accept the fight without OST.

If Manny wins the case Floyd can still demand that he take a drug test and Pacquiao would not be able to sue him. He'd just have to be careful to distinguish between suspicion/opinion and fact.

If Manny loses the defamation case his refusal to take a drug test wouldn't look any worse as it would not act as evidence supporting his use of PEDs.

well pac can kick floyd's ass in the courts and then he can take the test for the fight and hopefully he can kick floyd's ass in the ring too

I haven't read the lawsuit, but I can't imagine that he sues him for just asking about fake OST. Is that really what you're trying to say here?

It's because of all the stuff he's said. So no, he won't sue "again" if he asks for the tests, and he never did.
